The AMD A10-5800K CPU has L1 and L2 cache and is a quad-core processor.
The integrated L2 cache in all current processors runs at the same speed as the CPU core, which is also the same speed as the L1 cache. The waiter would just set the cart next to the table you were seated at in the restaurant for the example to explain these newer chips. If the food you wanted wasn't on the table (L1 cache miss), it would just require a longer reach over to the next L2 cache (the cart in this scenario) rather than the 15-second walk it used to take.
According to CPU-Z, the cache types and sizes of the AMD A10-5800K processor are shown below.
With the CPU tab chosen, the CPU Z application contains seven tabs: CPU, Caches, Mainboard, Memory, SPD, Graphics, and About. Processor, Clocks, Cache, and Selection are the four sections of the content window. "CPU" is highlighted in the data field Name under the Processor section. Under the Cache segment, the data fields L1 Data, L1 Inst, and Level 2 are referred to as "Cache." "CPU Cores" is the term for the data fields Cores and Threads. At the bottom right of the CPU Z program window are two command buttons labeled "Validate" and "OK."
