Welcome to my new post, today I'm going to overview the Asus Z87-K motherboard. So we're gonna take a quick look around the box from the upper image. First of all, as you can see the Asus logo and there's Z-87K on the front side of the motherboard box. It comes in a black and gold color theme. This motherboard is a budget build board and it comes in at an ATX form factor it retails between $125 and $130. As you know this motherboard with Z87 chipset so it's compatible with the Intel 4th generation processor and supports the LGA 1150 socket with AMD crossfire technology.  

Now I'm going to describe to you the five main key features of this Asus Z87-K motherboard. So you've got the DIGI+VRM support that will power them stable, a power control fuse for overcurrent protection, ESD guards 100% solid caps, and stainless steel back bios or the back IO.

The Asus Z87-K motherboard from Asus comes in at the standard ATX form factor size of 12 inches by eight point two inches. As far as the color scheme goes for the Asus Z87-K and the rest of the boards in the Asus EV H7 lineup. I am most big a fan of black and gold. I think if they that maybe it's plastic parts gold also.  I think the black and gold color scheme could have looked very very nice. So I just want to cover a few of the main facts. First the war bat this board does have the brand-new Z87 chipset from Asus and it does have the 1150 socket which is obviously compatible with the brand new 4th generation Intel CPUs.

The RAM slots are compatible that's 32 gigabytes of DDR3 RAM and it is dual-channel compatible. So on the brand new Asus Z87-K motherboards from a sushis don't get any SATA 3 ports anymore. You get 6 SATA, you've got your first 2 beside on the RAM slots and then you've got 4 more hair down in the bottom right of the motherboard right. You've got three basic PCI ports from the bottom of the motherboard and then you also have two PCIe x16 slots above and 2 PCIe x16 x16 slots that are compatible with PCIe 3.0 ready and AMD crossfire X-ray. So for us B2 on this motherboard you have a fall at the back panel and then you also have six more from down of the motherboard and for us B3 you have two on the back panel and two more beside the ram slot on the middle of the motherboard as far as power ports go on this motherboard.

You have also beside the RAM slots as usual 24 pin power connector and then you also do have a separate pin power connector over on the left-hand side. The Asus Z87-K only comes with one heatsink surrounding the CPU on this motherboard. There is not really a lot of expansion for stuff like fans. There is, to be honest. There are only two Shetty fans. Which is one in the middle and then one on the right-hand side and then you also have your four-pin connector for your CPU cooler.

So I'm moving on to the back rear I/O panel connections you have PS2 connectors for old mice and keyboards. Here you have an HDMI port that supports up to 4k resolution. You have also DVI DisplayPort along with your VGA display port then you have two USB ports and two USB 3 ports. After that, there is an Ethernet connection and there are also two more USB 2.0 ports and there are also audio jack connections.
